Photojournalistic Birth Story photography is where I am actually with you in the hospital when delivering. This is a new offering that is getting more and more popular. It is amazing to capture those first few moments of baby meeting parents – all the moments that pass by too quickly.
I am around as long as it takes during the measurements, etc., and then capture some family photos once you have baby in your arms. It’s an “on-call” situation for me and it usually lasts up to several hours that I am spending with you, capturing your story.
You will receive a DVD or jump drive of fully-edited images. I give you all of the images so you have everything from the time I spent with you and your new family. As far as where the hospital staff allow me to be is different with each facility. I have been present in OR rooms for c-sections, in the nursery, or some staff prefer me to stay in the hallway and shoot through the glass, etc. It’s up to the medical staff and you as to how much access I get that day.
